Beacons of Light

There will always be beacons of light, people who shine so brightly that with just one smile from them an entire world of darkness can be dispelled. Just as there are people who seem to have lost their way and produce darkness and despair, there will always be those who are the exact opposite, those who shine the brightest light from their souls and for the world to see.  

If you can look out into a sea of people the beacons are always there. They may not be a great spiritual teacher, or an incredible leader, but you can see it in their eyes, you can see it in their smile and in the way they shine their light for all others to see. They tend to uplift us all. Their light doesn’t dim with all the darkness that pervades us every day. They tend to shine a way for us when things seem so dismal and bleak. Their spirits are strong and they don’t seem to be tainted by the world at large. There is something magical about them, something beautiful, and something to be treasured and protected.
