Materialism vs. the Heart
In the cultures throughout the world today it seems materialism and money are winning over the hearts and souls of the people. People’s importance and status are not determined by how big their hearts are, but by how big their bank accounts are. Love, friendships, relationships are now being determined on how much you are worth rather than how much your soul and being can give to the other.
Everyday people are selling their souls for a larger house in the suburbs, for a fancier car in the driveway, and for a sunnier vacation in the tropics. People’s moralities are being brushed under the carpet as they screw and cheat one another for a bigger bank balance and to come home to a fatter couch and a six foot plasma television screen. We are seeing the fall of mankind, materialism and money winning over the hearts and souls of people.
So what do we do? Believe in that humanity will learn its lesson in the end. Humanities greatest hour is usually when their backs are up against the wall. Materialism won’t last forever. It will have its reign and then fall. If you get caught up in the emotion of it all, you are missing that humanity’s consciousness goes through cycles and phases. We as a people are now fascinated by materialism, money and wealth. Until we bath in it, until every cell of our bodies are saturated with it and we can't stand the smell of our own stink, materialism won’t be over. If you have ever noticed within your own life, until you are totally sick and tired and want something to change or end, it keeps manifesting. Materialism is the same way, until we value again the human heart and the human soul as the top priority, materialism will reign supreme.
Don't be discouraged, someday hearts and souls will reign supreme again. Maybe many millenniums ago hearts and souls did reign supreme. Maybe hearts and souls had their time on the earth plane, and that cycle has ended for now. A friend of mine once told me that she came from an enlightened society 20,000 years ago. Everyone was awakened and enlightened.
Maybe deep within humanities evolution we got tired of being so enlightened, it might have gotten utterly boring, like watching paint on a wall dry. Humanity decided to switch to something else and try on a new kind of glove so to speak. Just think from a souls perspective, if lifetime after lifetime you saw the same old world, same old events, and nothing new ever happened, nothing ever changed, you’d be bored out of your mind, wouldn't you? You’d think, “gosh if only something different would happen here, I would actually be interested in this place again."
Nature is always an amazing example of wisdom, as the nature seasons run in cycles, so does humanities consciousness. Hearts and souls will reign supreme again someday. We just have to be patient.
